Works with any 5VZFE. I am gonna get one when I get some money...seems good! Plus it's URD, icing on the cake.

I can't wait to get 5VZFE in my truck, there is so many cool tricks for those motors. So it looks like that may add around 15hp, not bad for $259. That is $17 per pony.

Extremely hard. You have to use a pseudo-mechanical pulley wrench which costs about $2000 and then buy a plasma pulley puller for another $1500 and even then you can only do it by taking the whole engine out of the truck.

As long as you have the right tools to pull the pulley and belts, it's very easy. It might be difficult to get the pulley/pulley bolt off the first time, but it's not TOO hard. If you wanna do it yourself...get a Haynes manual or FSM, it's pretty simple. Good Luck.

Yes. Read small print for serious response.

How much simpler can I put it? Yes, I was kidding on the top, because you are too lazy to SEARCH for a simple answer to a simple question. Sorry to bring this up AGAIN, but you are asking for it. I put the answer in front of you, I told you it was in front of you, yet you refuse to READ.

/RANT...sorry

I remember seeing a post somewhere with a pic of a homemade tool/bar to hold the crank from turning while loosening and tightening the crank bolt. It was about 4-5 feet long IIRC. The bolt takes a lot of torque, you need a torque wrench that will go up to about 250 ft-lb IIRC.

Had a dealer replace water pump (warranty) and timing belt on my 99 and 3k miles later, the crank pulley fell of !!

Trashed the crank and a bunch of other stuff.

Took me nearly 3 days to convince stealer, it was his fault.

Tech had just retorqed pulley with an impact wrench and it fell right off.

Expensive mistake to make on your own truck.

Some of the early 3.4s were coming from the factory with crank bolts that weren't tight enough.

Are you talking about me? That's OK because I have been a "Doubting Thomas."

I do understand the theory of electric fans (less parasitic drag) but I've read a ton on how people have overheated. I don't want to take a chance with blowing a hg or causing other damage on the motor for the little benefit that this fan would help with. Not to mention, going with a kit like FAL is over $300. This though sounds a lot worthwhile...
