TRD Tranny Cooler vs. Perma-Cool
Is there any distinguishable difference between the TRD Tranny Cooler and PP's brand Perma-Cool. I have been doing a lot of towing lately and when I move, I will really be doing a lot. The heavy duty Perma-Cool is $51.95, whereas the TRD is $209.95. Slight difference in price, ha ha. Any other differenes than this or are you just paying for the TRD name? Thanks guys. Later.

You don't want to get the Perma-Cool fins type transmission cooler, you want the stack type (TRD or Hayden). They are better, I'm looking into getting the Hayden Transmission cooler myself, this is the same people that make the TRD cooler. However, they are about 1/3 the price, the biggest stack type Hayden cooler (GVW = 30,000 lbs) is only $60.00.

The distinguishable differece is $140 bucks. I ordered a Hayden 9 7/8 x 11 x3/4 a couple of days ago for my 95 4runner $60.00 shipped. I really don't see where TRD can get away with $140 worth of mounting hardware. I have to say I've never seen one and can't find any specs. on the web but it still seems nuts.
