I went back yesterday and they removed the load class E's and put on the C's. The minor rubbing has gone away...the E's must have been slightly larger.

Did you notice much of a ride improvement going back to the 'C's?
I had the same thing happen at my tire dealership, they stuck on E's and I was expecting C's (although I never specified).
The tire change was done at the same time as my OME lift, so I don't know if the increased firmness of the ride was a result of the tires or the lift. However, the ride smoothed out when I decreased the tire pressure to 32psi.

I'd be interested to know your impressions of the Goodyears vs the Toyo's.

I did notice an improvement in ride quality when going back to the C's from the E's. I have now gone from the original passenger grade P265's to LT265 C to LT265 E and now back to LT265 C and there is noticable difference in ride quality as you move between these.

The same layer made with KEVLAR? also acts as a barrier to help absorb road noise for a smooth, quiet, comfortable ride. It's why we like to call this tire ?The Strong, Silent Type.?"
My previous Toyo's, like the Wrangler, were both AT style tires. It does seem like the road noise is slightly less with the Wranglers, but not a lot. As far as the claim for a more "comfortable" ride, I do sense that the ride is a tad softer, although that could be just because I am on new tires with more rubber. I can comment on tread life or off-road/snow capabilities yet. Goodyear does have a very good warranty which includes roadside assistance for the 1st two years. They basically guarantee you will not get stuck :-D and if you do they will come pull you out.
I really liked my Toyos but my mistake was to not take them back in for the free balance & rotate every 6000 miles. They evidently became out of balance, which caused a cupping wear pattern, which let to mucho vibration at highway speeds (which is now gone). I have never rebalanced tires before. Keeping the allignment and tire pressure right has always been enough. The Toyos had plenty of tire depth (except for the cupped areas)even after three years and 40-50,000 miles.
