stripped intake manifold
Was cleaning the IAC and stripped the bottom holes of the intake manifold. So went and bought a tap and die, I tapped to big of a hole. Am I now screwed? Where can I get an insert for m10 so that I can still use the m8 bolts?

Ok no luck with a helicoil, ended up ordering a new upper intake manifold. Question, do I just need one new gasket for this? The old one I assume is not reusable correct?

Did you even check timeserts out? They have exactly what you would have needed to fix it. Why ask for advice and then ignore it?

It's a steel gasket. Reuse it if it looks ok. Install it dry.

wyoming you may like these even better, Keenserts. I use these all of the time as a machinist, for thread repair or high use/strength threaded application, and highly recommend them.
