Exclamation squeaky clutch??

after my truck has been sitting for a while... overnight for example, the clutch makes a squeak when i push it in. after i drive for a while, it stops.... this happens even if the truck is not running. when it is running, and the clutch is out, it makes like a humming sound, but when the clutch is in it sounds fine. these seem pretty funky to me, but it doesnt seem like that big of a deal i may just leave it and hope it goes away. not a good idea probably, but.... well... ill see what you guys say!! thanks!

I had the same problem with the clutch pedal squeeking. The problem is there is supposed to be a plastic bushing between the clutch pedal and the assist spring. On mine the bushing broke apart allowing metal to metal contact. The best way to fix this is to buy the bushng plus 2 bushings for the pivot and remove the entire clutch pedal assy from the truck. Trust me, it will save time and frustration. To remove, there are several connectors to disconnect( starter switch and cruise control switch), 1 bolt under dash and several nuts under hood near master cylinder. The whole assy can then be mounted in a vise. Be very careful with assist spring!! The dealer quoted 2.5 hrs to do this job. On the first try it took me an hour or so. If I did it again it would be less than a half hour job. Easy to do. As far as the other noise, probably a noisy throw out bearing, make sure clutch freeplay is adjusted properly.
