Runs bad, cat cherry red ?

dirt is coming from the tank, laying on the bottom. just before this happened I was running low on fuel. shouldn't have left it get that low between 1/4 and empty, obviously sucking what's floating around on the bottom. too bad there wasn't a drain on bottom of tank. on top of tank where sending unit goes in is all rusty. I'd be breaking bolts off.

Problem Solved
Got my newly cleaned injectors back Yesterday. Cleaned the fuel rail and installed injectors. This time I installed not one but two stock type fuel filters in original location. it fits and hoses do reach. What I did was connect 2 filters together, bought a 10mm fine thread bolt. with a drill press and vise I drilled hole in center, actually slightly larger than original size. use cut off wheel , cut bolt to length. teflon tape threads, thread the filters together.mix up some JB weld and filled joint for extra permanent seal. Bracket is on front filter, more toward back. it fits and works. started truck, checked for leaks, went for test drive, runs GREAT. My 96 has 126K miles. will take bed off soon , makes it easier to remove tank and reinstall. am going to check for dirt in tank. new tank BYT is $400 from Toyota. If I have to I'll recondition mine with POR 15 tank repair kit.

cleaned out fuel tank -WOW
truck has been running good since getting injectors cleaned for 2nd time in 240 miles. 2nd time I installed 2 new fuel filters one after another. Yesterday truck quit running, not getting any fuel. I took the bed off to get to fuel tank , got sending unit and pump out. looked into tank, there was a lot of sediment laying on bottom. I bench tested pump. it didn't work. ordered new pump from e-bay. $45 total . I cut the screen that's attached to pump and it was full of very fine dirt. check out pics. I only wished I did everything at once, get injectors cleaned, new filter, clean out tank, and new fuel pump.

I haven't had my 96 long, ran rough right after I got it. has 126 K miles. Cyl 2 misfire, replaced plugs, cap, rotor, 2 cans of Sea foam, nothing helped til I got the injectors professionally cleaned, ran good after that for about 50-100 miles, started to run a little rough again, Today it was really bad, lucky to make it home, scanner says multiple cyl misfire 1,2,3. I noticed a smell, something hot, looked under truck and my catayltic converter was cherry red. I unbolted and removed converter, still ran rough. Think my injectors are plugged again ? How can I keep them from plugging up? Is my converter bad ?Any ideas what my problem is ?
