roof rack tower mount

ok, i have searched around and have had no luck... I am looking for a metal tower that bolts to the factory roof rails and allows one to build a custom safari style rack. I saw them one time and have notbeen able to find them again. they are not like the thule or yakima univeral towers with the bars, they are made for more custom permanent mounting.

does anyone know what im talking about???

thanks,

Kyle

how far from the part that mounts to the rail, to the top of it? my main issue is clearing the tilt on the sunroof, and not going any higher. it needs to be about the same as the factory roof cross bar.

hey spaugh, looks good, thats what i'm currently building , how tall is yours? 6 inch? i'm going with 4 trying to keep it a bit lower profile ,for the mounts i think i'm going to drill through the roof and put a plate on the other side just for a little more support , no factory holes on mine so i'm drillin either way , i think 4hummer did the same on his rack ,
