my rear window wont go down in my 86 4runner. I havent had the runner for long but when i got it the rear window worked... and the last time i put it up it made a clunk sound then went all the way up and now wont go back down. Please help... i need to get that window functioning again. Thanks in advance.

Check to make sure the bolt in for the top and to make tailgate is closed.

In the back, there is an electrical plug that must be connected in order for the window to go down again after being closed completely. Check this plug in the back driver's side corner of the top and bed. Same area where the windo washer tube connects for the washer bottle for the rear window...

I had the same issue on my 4Runner.

Another problem they have is the switch that detects that the tailgate is closed, on the inside of the tailgate, goes bad easily. Most people just bypass it. The window won't work with the switch "open".
