Rear Brake Line Replacements?

So, I'm looking at extending my rear brake line for when I put new rear coils in... Well Advance says its $29 for a replacement line that will be the same length. My friend with a 95.5 taco said he just bought an extender so it doesnt look super clean, but it gets the job done. He also said the price for the replacement at advance was only $20. So, do 3rd gen 4runners and 95.5 tacos have different brake lines? Or are brake lines pretty generic threads so I can look around more for used one?

My NAPA store took the orig part #, and went into a reference book. It showed the type of fittings at each end, and listed different lengths with same fittings (did not have another option for our 85)

Our NAPA is staffed by people that know their stuff, not the usual parts store drones.

You can add another stock line in series with your stock line to double it's length.

Or...you can get a new Stainless Steel line from www.sonoransteel.com

I was told that all Toyota trucks used the same rear brake line fittings, so you could get a Tacoma line and be fine.

I got my braided lines from All pro, and all 3 work perfect. If Steve was selling them at the time, I would probably buy through him though.,

I can tell you for a fact that the 95.5-04 Tacoma and the 96-02 4Runner use the same "center" rear brake line. Exact same length and everything.

The 01-02 4Runners have a second line that is a weird beast of its own. To make that second line I have it made with standard parts, modify it further and have to go to the junk yard to harvest clips that Toyota only sells with complete lines.

Yes the 01-02 is so very different than the 96-00.

For 30 bucks I can sell you a line setup to run FZJ-80 rear shocks, Old Man Emu, Tokico Trek Master or Stock.

Yes it is. Stainless and teflon, same as a hardline.
