Re: SAWs
we just installed my revtek kit today. we cranked up the coilovers so an inch more thread was at the bottom. that seemed to give it a lot more than 1" lift in the front. id say it was about 2" lift in the front. does that sound right?
anyways the more lift looks pretty damn good, my tires do not rub at all offroad now. besides installing the diff kit, we installed some daystar shackles in the back. there is way more clearance now for tires, i could fit 33x12.50s now no problem. i just need some longer shocks because i have stock height carquest shocks on it right now.:pat:
sorry about taking up so much space, just excited about the lift. has me dreaming of what to do next with tires and whatnot (see sig) but anyways, anyone else noticed that? i will get some pics of my truck in the next couple of days up... and the front and rear look pretty close in height, as when before the front was lower than the back. okay, im done. thx guys.

EDIT: Here is the link. Check out BajaTacos reply concerning reconstructing the SAWS. It is towards the end. It has a link there for some info.

Hope this helps!

The conversion is roughly 1:2, but not exactly. You can use it, though, as a general rule of thumb.
For instance, the revtek 1/4" top plate provides about 1/2" of lift. And, the Cornfed spacer I have isa 1.5" spacer, but it's about half that in actual height.
Sorry I don't know the exact conversion, but someone might.

Rowan,
When you say Revtek kit, you're talking about the differential drop spacers, correct?
With the new SAWS that have a higher spring rate, you don't need to crank them up as much in the past. People were surprised the first time they saw pictures of how much thread was showing, and swore I didn't get as much lift as I said. One inch showing seems a little low, but I've got the TJM bumper on the front, so I've got mine cranked up a tinge more.
