Ok,here's the deal,I had new tires put on and I also had an alignment done and everything was good.I had it at the shop for a no start problem while I went to Oregon on vacation.When I got it back it pulled to the right so I took it back to the alignment shop and they said it was way out of adjustment.They aligned it again and it still pulled to the right.They put it back on the machine and it says it's all good,they even had their machine recalibrated.It still pulls to the right.The brakes aren't binding.As soon as I let off the brake(speedo not even registering)The wheel turns and it starts moving to the right.What else should I check?Oh yeah,it's my 91 runner.

Well alignments are done with a positive camber to offset the road crown but I dont understand why it would pull so much to the right. Since it doesnt do it when hitting the brakes then thats ruled out. Maybe check the condition of the tires, which they shouldve already done during PAI.

The tires are new,maybe 1500 miles.The tech said all the steering components looked good.They rotated the tires too to see if that would help but it didn't.

Sorry man, I don't specialize in alignments but I figured if anything was found during the PAI then the techs would've told you but I can't figure out why it would pull to the right so much. I would think maybe a bent linkage or something but then again the techs would have found it during the PAI. Hopefully someone on this board might know.

check the air pressure in your tires.

Air pressure is good.I think I'll take it to another shop and have them check it out.It starts to pull even at an idle.

Sounds like something in the steering is bent. Could a bent rim cause this.

a bent rim would cuase a vibration, not a pull unless it was so severly bent that it is really visible and i mean marked bent......

i used to do alignments... how was the caster reading? even if its not in spec, have them bump down the left caster or bump up the right caster so the right side is higher .5* half a degree..... this should almost cure the pull, its hard to tell whats wrong though trying to describe something online

caliper may be slightly sticking out which may be just enough pressure to make it pull right just a guess

Have you checked the control arm bushings and both theupper and lower BJ...those can cause a problem like this.....
