Sounds like it when you're asking about a thermostat.
Everyone else had already explained the bling factor of it and he was just giving you a little crap. You might be taking taking this whole internet thing a little personally.

A lower thermostat will open sooner keeping your engine cooler and a higher pressure cap will raise the boiling point of your coolant. Neither of which are necessary unless you have a highly modified engine or your cooling system isn't up to par.

wow. WAAAYYY too much thought into such a small thing!


let me keep this simple.

Save your money unless you like the way it looks. If thats the case, then to each his own, but don't expect any more "performance" improvement than you would get from a TRD Oil cap.

thanks almost forgot about them. just think i could of rattled away a perfectly good muffler if you hadn't reminded me about them i checked them today and they are shot. I'll pick up some new ones after work tomorrow. Thankyou again

Try putting a sticker on your cap and you get some free horespower and lower pressure to boot if not get one from auto zone for 3 dollars.

A radiator cap will not affect the operating temperature of the engine, it only establishes the temperature at which the coolant "boils over". The higher the pressure, the higher the temperature that the coolant boils at:
