Clayton- The Carmel Valley That I am at is in the county of Monterey - Nor-Cal - I know of the one in San Diego And I dont think that there is a chance of having the weather like we do here. Chew's Ridge is at 5500 ft el. and we can get up to 5 ft of snow this winter... Pray for Rain!
Its worth checking out. There are two nice size campground loops w/o water that overlook the Los Padres National Forest. It is off 101 take G16 Carmel valley road to Tassajara road. Its like 17 miles of dirt road that ends up at the Tassajara Hot Springs(closed winter).. The stars are awesome up there because there is no light pollution.

Rowan - The Ford is a 99 w/ 3" lift It has the v8 diesel power stroke and it was smokin! Its like a 7.4 L or something.

We should get a Yota tech trip together for anyone who wants to go up there..

There are a couple pictures of my 86 pickup in the snow. Worth downloading!

Someday I'll learn how to load them on to a host server but for now......Peace out!

thanks guys. down here in MS, that's all we have is mud... but we've got the best of it. it's amazing how much mud some 31x13.5 swamper SX's will throw. i'd sit in the mud hole in 2wd and spin the wheels, then let off the accelerator, and the mud kept hitting my truck for at least 5 seconds after that. my friend who took the pic said he'd never seen so much mud get thrown up in his life. i was borrowing the tires at the time, but i just recently bought them for my trail tires. love em.
