Major Fitment Issue with TJM T-15 ::NEED HELP::

Well, I'm glad I went out tonight and got started on it, hopefully I can have some answers by the weekend.
As most of you know I got a T-15 from YotaJim's, but I think this may be one for a 2nd Gen.
I also got 3rd gen 2" Body Lift brackets.
Here is my truck with the 2" BL brackets installed:

closeup:

The bumper itself fits perfectly with the body of the truck, but the brackets on the truck are too wide for the brackets on the bumper. Here's the comparison:

The brackets on the truck measure 31.75" apart:

Meanwhile the brackets on the bumper are only 26" apart (that's about 2.75" each side!!):

So what do you guys think? Did I get the wrong bumper or what? Can I put spacers and longer bolts in to make it work? I'm sure I can't winch like that, though...
I'm not happy right now. Hopefully someone can say "flip it over, dummy" or something simple like that...

Just measured my T-15 and the brackets on the bumper are roughly 32", which would match with your brackets on the truck. Looks like you have the wrong bumber.

my girl's dad is a fabricator, so hopefully tomorrow will be alot of cutting and welding...

I used a 2nd gen t17 on my 3rd gen. It was a bit of work, but better than starting from scratch.

It is probably not going to line up with your flares very well. If I remember correctly the t17 was approx 66" wide and the distance from outer flare to outer flare is about 72". See my build thread for how I worked it out.

So I stopped by and hung out with my girl's dad, who owns a machine shop...and not one that makes stupid little stuff, this guy makes parts for major communications in military aircraft and troops on the ground. If you see a giant satellite in the background on CNN, there's a damn good chance that the tripod or stand for it was made by him. It was actually funny watching him try and make this thing so exact, when it really didn't need to be.
As you guys know, the brackets on the truck were exactly 5" wider than the brackets on the bumper (2.5" on each side). So instead of doing any cutting/welding, he says, "why don't we just make a spacer?". Duh. I was overthinking it.
Here's some pics...
we started off with this huge block of aluminum:

a few creeper pics of the guys at work:

and the final product(told ya he went crazy making it perfect):

and...................................

a big thank you for all your guys input

Nice! In you avatar pic it looked like you had flares, I guess not. The bumper fits your truck perfect. Also, you had stated that it was a t15 but is actually a t17. I'm not quite sure what model it is for. You can see how the lower radiator protection is different and the bracket design is different from mine. Interesting. Nice job on making it work.

Wow nice. The gap inbetween the body and bumper might need to be expanded a bit, but for now I think you'll be OK.

Were did u get those flares?

you think the bumper is too close? I've got about 3/8"-1/2" clearance...

I got the Sport flares from one of the guys over on t4r.org, CSL, they were already Millennium Silver so it was a jackpot for me!

Well if you've got near a 1/2" then you should be fine! From the looks, I don't even see a gap! I've got about 1/2-3/4" gap and its much more visible. Maybe I am measuring wrong
