Lower radiator hose
Today while out wheeling I blew apart my lower radiator hose. How hard of a fix is this?
BTW. A stock (motor) truck can do one helluva burnout with 32x11.5s, and that is with a locker

which hose did you blow? the one that connects the radiator to the water pipe is a snap to change, just slit it and peel it off(it's generally siezed on there and a PITA to remove without destroying the hose or the radiator outlet).
the hose that connects the water pump to the pipe is a PITA though. i think you may have to remove the alternator to get at it. i made sure to change it out when the engine was out of the truck.

Just kidding around, jim, plus, you don't know if you don't ask.
p.s. For the record, I think that the Ram's are pretty badass, too, and actually use to own an old RamCharger 4x4.

The lower lower radiator hose (no, I didn't stutter, there's 2 lower hoses) is super easy. Drop the skid plate and it's right there. If it's been on too long, you'll have to use a good sharp razor knife to split it off your radiator and the bypass pipe. I change mine every spring, but that's just a safety thing. I do NOT want to blow a hose 100 miles from anywhere when it's 115* in the shade. I keep last year's hoses and belts in the truck just in case. I replaced the Toyota clamps with regular old average everyday hose clamps, so all I need to replace a hose is a screwdriver and a hex to remove the skid plate.

2ToyGuy,
I bought my '97 4Runner brand new. Planning on taking a long drive to Loreto, BCS with about 900lbs of dive gear in Dec. Should I change all my hoses? Can I change them with SS or similar hoses? What better hoses are available?
BTW, 21 Yr US Marine. Dad is one term Navy back in the days, brother is retired squid, another brother prior 8 yr Jar Head.
