I'm getting my runner at the end of this week and I'm still trying to decide how to set up the subs in the rear. I already plan to sink the amps in the side panels. But I want something that takes up the least amount of space but still sounds good. I'm getting 15in subs with the runner "thanks John" But are those too big?

I am running a 15" JL in the rear.
Despite what was said about JL speakers in another post here, JL subs kick butt.
They are nice, and mine hits very hard and is clean sounding too.

Anywho, from what I've heard from everybody, I guess JL is the way to go also.

more than just a sub box, but I'm only running one 12" sub. The grille is plenty strong for anything I've ever put back there... TVs, dogs, etc. and if I ever get the stupid thing carpeted you'll never even know the sub is there. All modular so it can be removed fairly easily if/when I need all the cargo space.

Haha...John Pasquale. Can ya guess where Im from? If you know my last name it should be a dead givaway.

If you want to keep the space, Id just run one of them. 2 15's requires a pretty big box. You could mount them in the sides, but they are pretty damn heavy and its going to need lots of reinforcement and whatnot. Im not sure if there is enough deapth though. Plus, Im really not a fan of side fireing subs.

Or just sell the two for a pair of 12's or even some 10s?? I love those 15's though. I was king of my highschool in ghetoville Detroit with them.

I so happy now!!!

I finally got my system installed and I elected to go with the MTX pre-loaded box. Had the amo installed on the back of the box too. Pictures are forthcomming, but take a look at the box xetup itself @ http://mtx.com/caraudio/archive/2001...4000Loaded.cfm
It's the one with the three 10" subs. I'm planning to get a D class amp next week and then we will REALLY be happy!

outkast' - i had those (3 thunder 6's, 10inch in a pre-load) before they got jacked...bought 'em off a friend for like $100 (+amp)...honestly couldn't have bought more for the money. those things slammed.

may not have been the overall best quality, but for one bill how can you go wrong? i don't think you'll be disappointed. now all you need to do is sound deaden your car! (makes a difference).

Slam is not the word...those things are so nice, and cheap!!! Only problem is the weight on teh back end. I'g getting used to it now, but it was a kicker at first. I want to add the deadening stuff, but that will have to come after the yellow top, running lights, and tires.

I feel like I can enter a sound off competetion and actually place (notice I didn't say win). I can't wait until I get a better amp and a better head unit.
