The last thread that went though this I THINK spec'd the stock fuel pump at around 17amps. That's a lot of current for running wires into the cab (think "will generate heat on long trips"). A 30amp relay is about $8-9, and then you could even use a small mini toggle, or a reed (and a latching relay) or ....

17 amps, doh. thatd be hard to find in a toggle switch. i could find a relay rated for the sure, but then i'd have current constantly being drawn one way or the other, which i dont want. i should look into your other suggestion...
