Having a tough time removing running boards

Hey Dudes-
I can't seem to get my stock running boards off after wd-40 and some other rust polymer desolver. I yanked, cussed and yanked some more and the bolts won't move. Should I have the nuts and bolts cut off, should I try warming things up with a torch. What shall I do. I have sliders that need to be put on. HELP!!

if you have an air compressor bust out an air ratchet. If not find someone with one it will get any bolt off.

You can also try to add a length of pipe over the handle of your ratchet. That'll give you more leverage on the bolt.

Is it just one bolt, or all of them?

I miss mine now. Every day my left ankle & right hip hurts from climbing up in my Runner. I need to get some tube steps.

Took my steps off of my '91 runner before i traded it. I ended up having to put the pipe over the ratched, AND using a hammer. Took about 2 hours to do the 15 minute job. You COULD just go to the nearest creek bed and try ripping them off on a nice sharp rock.

Air power

Air power is the only way to go. You either fix the problem or rip it off and fix the problem!

Have you tried PB blaster?

That is the only thing that I can get to work. WD-40 and Liquid wrench just don't work for me.

Try PB, spray a crap load of it on the bolts, and let it sit for a couple of hours..

I agree with most of the above comments...

1) try PB-Blaster (far superior to WD-40) and a breaker bar.

2) find some air tools
