Hardwiring heated seats.. need directions

So Im trying to hardwire 2 heated seats to my battery. I figure this is the best way to power both of them, but please advise of worthy alternatives.

Over winter, I tried to run them off of the acc outlet with over-sized fuses in the fuse box, but they would blow eventually and consistently. I am wondering if anyone can give me directions on hardwiring the front 2 heated seats i got for my 4runner (2000 base model). I searched the forums and no help there.

any thoughts are appreciated.

no hes saying that his is the base model. i think. id say run a line to the battery, with an inline fuse, and a switch. that would be the easiest way to do it.

Battery> 30amp fuse or circuit breaker> wiring to + of seats, split for both seats > ground seats.

yeah sorry, the seats are after market, i got some cheap heated seats off ebay, 2 for 25 bucks with a splitter. there just cheap chinese heat pads, nothing great. but they do get toasty quick. i put some camo seat covers over em to make em look alright.

Im just trying to figure out how to set this whole hardwire +inline fuse up.

oh so they're heat pads......i might consider that for winter but meanwhile i'll keep an eye out for heated seats from an 01 or 02, those would be bitchin'!
suprised toyota has not been putting them in, at least into the limited's. but then again, they refused to do black on black or black leather in general. why? geez, its hard to find a german car that does NOT have blk lthr (imho the best interior option) while toyota is in love with the tan/toupe/camel color. ugh...... black on black. simple. you can't go wrong.

leather seats on ebay right now

search 96-02 4 Runner leather and it will hit exactly

I would post the link but I bid on them so it does not connect for anyone else.

not sure if they are heated- can anyone specify if there is perhaps an additional plug at the seat that would tell me- that the seat has heat versus just power seats?

sorry for ambushing the thread

this is the power of the search

bump

these seats sold for $425 for the pair. They were 02 power seats.

Can anyone personally confirm if all power leather seats for 01-02 had heat automatically?
