The fairings? Yes, even if the size isn't exactly right it will fit. The control towers? No, you will need a new landing pad as the clips for the tracks are not the same. If you are using Q-towers, then you'll need two new sets of Q-clips but you can reuse everything else and if you are using 1A raingutter towers you won't be able to reuse them even though Jason B is doing just that, I highly recommend against it because I have seen lots of damaged caused by using raingutter towers on vehicles without raingutters. The have too much leverage and cause too much torque.

The control towers are Qtowers.... the bars are 44' wide.... like i said its off a Grand Cherokee.... so the only thing I should have to do is get new Qclips?

You'll need two boxes of Q62 clips for a 2000 4-runner.

you seem to be extremely knowledgeable of this so one more question if you dont mind Nermal.....

I see the control and q towers... what is exactly the difference? I see that Garrets control towers mount to the factory railing of the luggage rack... where do the Q towers mouns?

Perhaps you should visit www.yakima.com to enter your vehicle. I didn't know the specifics but you said that you had Q-towers already. Q-towers are commonly used when there are no factory racks on a vehicle. In some instances, they can be used instead of another rack option like control towers. There are about a 140 specific clips for different vehicles. For a 2000 runner you would need 2 boxes of Q62. The clips grab onto the door jamb so the roof rack will be further forward than one where the factory typically installs. However you have a roofrack without having to drill holes, it is easily removable, and you can reuse most of the components when you change vehicles. If you have an option between using Control Towers and Q-Towers, I would recommend using Control Towers as they are an easier to use and better looking roof rack. I use a combination of both on my truck because I carry long loads and wanted three cross bars to support my loads. I have a total spread distance of over 9 feet.

I know racks because I install hundreds of Yakima and Thule racks a year. It's part of my job.
