Exclamation Got a truck!

Hey everyone, just bought me a truck. It's a Black 1999 Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab 4x4. I've yet to get pics of it but will for sure have some up soon. Just to tell you a little about the truck, it has power everything, TRD off road package, 5 speed, CD player, and the one thing that I've hunted down for the past 2 weeks, the 3.4 liter V6. If you couldn't tell, I'm excited . The trucks in great condition, with 87k on it. Also, to my surprise, It has a Rear Wheel Differential Lock... Do the majority of the Taco's come with this? The 95-98's that I've drove didn't have this option. Can't wait to get it cleaned up and show you guys.

By the way, I plan on slapping a "www.yotatech.com" decal on the back window

Good find, looking forward to the pictures. Are you planning any mods?

I definantly plan on mods, check the sig. Most likely going with 33 inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrains, but I could possibly end up getting some Mickey Thompson Radial Claws. Also leaning towards a 4 inch Pro Comp Suspension lift, but I'm not ruling out a 3 inch lift considering the ones I've seen have been cheaper. I saw a Cornfed Suspension 3" and a Tuff Country 3" for around 300 or so, the price sounds great but I'm still not sure what would be best... I'd also love to do some decals on it, maybe some performance logos below the door? Anymore ideas from you all would be great...

Oh yeah almost forgot, If your curious about any engine mods I may be considering, I'd love to throw on an Intake and some sort of ECU upgrade. Possibly a hypertech programmer? I'm not even sure if Hypertech makes them for Toyota. If anyone has any information for me about that I'd love to hear. Any suggestions for engine mods would be great too.

You guys are the best...

-Travis

No hypertech. They mainly deal with domestics.

I figured that, I probably shouldn't have even asked the question .

Any suggestions on a programmer then?

According to what Gadget says, reprogramming the ecu doesn't help.

Just get the S/C and call it a day!

Congrats on the new truck!

Can't forget about Gadget's URD kit for the Supercharger.

The rear locker thing you mentioned, thats a TRD option. TRD itself wasnt an option until '98 so that explains that. I dont know how well new intakes work on the 3.4. I have a 2.7 but I do know that RFI type intakes are somewhat of a waste if you like playing in mud or water. they suck in like vacumes. Just bend a piece of aluminum tubing to fit to the factory air box and get a better flowing drop in filter. But I know how excited you are. I got my taco bout 2 months ago and already have a K&N FIPK and an anodization spacer at the throttle body with plans for magnaflow muffler and high flow cat. tell us what you end up with in the engine and suspension
