Sounds crazy enough to actually work!

I've got a Surco (as do several others on the board) that is 5" tall. For mounting it, you can mount it to the factory roof rack, if you have one, or to an aftermarket rack like Thule or Yakima. Using the factory rack will let the basket sit lower, but it won't be as strong. Going with aftermarket will let you carry more weight, but will raise the basket up some.
P.S. I'll be doing this in a few months so I'll have a complete Yakima rack w/Control towers and crossbars for sale. Sorry but I'll be keeping the Steelhead Bike Mounts, Promo Ski Mounts, and Fairing .

I just got a BVG basket and I like it so far. I just have it sitting on the toyota rails and I have to say, it dosn't make as much noise as I thought it might. I will have to see what it does to my mileage. I do not have a wind fairing on it ( but I am looking). I have more than enough room to get in and out of the garage....but we will see once the lift comes.
I am looing for a light bracket that will fit the front...like a 4 light setup..anyone know of one?
