Yeah i don't know about more damage but definetly a bigger PITA to strip everthing off the front end for repair

Question what do you know about the accident?

You've said it before Vato (something to the effect) that in high speed accidents you're better off w/o a grill guard. For the most part that's crap man (flame suit on). It doesn't matter what you have in a high speed accident (short of a TJM ARB), a grill guard won't make much of a difference. 99% of high speed front enders are going to be totaled out regardless.
What do you know about that accident in the picture? How many times have you gone to the salvage yard? How fast was that runner going? What kind of damage would it have sustained w/o the brush guard?
I know that the runner I bought was totalled out by a quick to total things out insurance co. (i think it was allstate). Believe me it had some damage, but I filled it w/ water ( the radiator was leaking) and drove it to a garage from the auction. Without the grill guard it had (the lady hit a pole) it would have had engine damage and I wouldn't have given it a second look. A used bumper, radiator repair, new headlight and a Flex-a-Lite fan later and I am on the road for under 4,000.
As said before: "I dunno that kinda looks like he would have been SOL with or without the gaurd."

your right Taco Dude

You're right I could have said it in a more polite way. I guess I was a bit bothered by his opinion being stated as fact ("evidence").

I'm glad you did get involved, dude.

FWIW Vato is right in some (rare) medium slow-speed incidents, a grill guard will do more damage than protection. I'll explain it sometime. If anyone wants to know.

I know by firsthand experience.

Thanks for keeping an open mind, wynn. I thought that might come off a little rougher than intended
