Cornfed Suspension looking for 4th gen 4runner!
Fellow 4th gen 4runner owners:
If you are in the Hampton Roads area and would like to try out Cornfed Suspension's spacers, please give them a call at (757) 218-6434 or email them at cornfed4runner@cox.net
They are looking for anyone that is interested in lifting their truck with their spacer kit. I recommend them highly as well as many of the TTORA guys.
Someone talk to em as I need a pair of rear spacers!!! hehehe thanks

Lance-
I will have the downey coil / revtek spacer setup going asap. I will let you know how it all turns out with measurements, etc. Also, out of curiousity, have the downey's stiffened your ride at all? Thanks.

Billy:
Naturally it'll get abit stiffer But I think it's not as stiff as the spacer setup though.
On that coil/spacer setup, I'm ahead of ya, I'm ordering the spacer so I can get it installed this week as my rear bumper will be in then so I'll need the spacer. I hope Mike @ Xtreme Offroad gets back to me asap so he can send em to the garage!! shoot.

Heres an idea: 2002 front springs vs 2003 (both Runner springs)
I measured my stock 2002 Runner strut springs that were left over in my garage against my 2003 struts. Although I kinda half-arsed the measurements, it seems like the 02 springs are the same diameter both OD and ID. The springs themselves appear to be the same thickness and have the same uncompressed length.
The 2002 front springs have more coils than the 03's. I'm thinking maybe I can interchange the top plate (more separation between the bolts on the 03) and XREAS strut. I would end up putting my 02 front springs on my 2003. By being wound tighter, maybe they won't compress as much after weight is applied. What do you guys think?
BTW: The rears on the 03 are almost a half an inch wider and have a larger spring thickness than the 2002's. I don't think the 02's will work in the back.
I have to wait at least week or so before I start tearing it apart because I'm flying outta here for a few days next week.
Doug
Lance: Any word from Jason on time to completion of the front? I thought you said before it would be around the 11th or so. Is that right?

dropping off truck tomorow.
they'll be working on both the front and rear.
also they're gonna powdercoat the bumper to whatever color (so let me know!)
front: arb style.
rear: simple design and will incorporate a removeable tire carrier.
I will pick up the truck 1 week later so that puts me at next thursday!
As for the coils from 3rd -> 4th gens. I dunno if that works or not but you can try if ya want That would be interesting though
Because if that is true, then I can make some custom front suspension like Steve did on his 4runner
I guess I'll have to tinker around...
