Coil/spring orientation +Qs

Hi
I installed bilsteins struts on my 4runner last weekend. Now when rereading JAs 4runner site it mentions that the coil/springs (up front) should be oriented with the end facing the outside of the wheelwell. I didn't check for that and they are kind of random facing (left compared to right). I would hate to get it aligned before fixing this.

Also, my front sits higher than before. Maybe it just need to settle. If not can someone give me the proper order of bushings etc for both front and back strut so I can check what I did is correct.
(i did do several searches but have not have much luck).
Thanks
C

Check the coil cups(where bottom of coil sits) and make sure they are not upside down.
This is how they should look:

Flat side down.....ignore the arrow it's pointing to the top coils
that are touching, which is normal for PP coils.

I have the coil cup sitting right. What I am wondering is whether the notch in the cup that holds the end of the spring should always be facing out (as it does in the picture)

I would not think it should make a difference, as long as you have the seat right and not upside down. When I first did my front shocks I actually put the spring seats on upside down but also noticed the front about a 1" + - higher than the rear.

Carsten,

I tried to reply to your e-mail but got an error message back - couldn't be delivered. Sorry for the delay, last few days have been a bit hectic for me

I have to agree with the guys, I can't really see how it would make a difference... then again that's just me.
Have you e-mailed JA himself and asked him?

Thanks guys. Great then I can get the alignment done and move on to next project.
Peter - our email server at work is down today.
I will try to email JA himself and see what he has to say.

Update:
I went to get an alignment and asked the mechanic: It doesn't matter which way its rotated as long as it is seated properly!
