Chugging at stop lights
I've been looking for a Toyota Forum for about a week now. Then yesterday I saw a Toyota just like mine on the road w/ a YotaTech.com sticker on the back window and VIOLA....here I am.
Anyway- After cruising at normal speeds and then having to come to a stop, my motor's RPMs take a dive and it almost stalls out. If I just tap the gas pedal, it goes back up to a nice 800 RPM idle. If I do nothing, it will go back to normal in about 5-10 seconds. Has this happened to anyone???

I just wanted to welcome you to Yotatech. As for your question I'm not sure Sounds like a timing issue to me, but I'm sure somebody that knows a lot more about engines will chime in soon. Good luck

I saw a red, looked like mine, so about a '94 4x4 extra cab. Driving East on Dunlap around 19th Ave. Yesterday 1-21-04 about 5:10pm. Maybe that'll narrow it down. Yota sticker was on back driver side window.

Welcome to Yotatech.
My 90 does hte same thing and i have yet to come across the answer, i think it is a timing and or O2 sensor prob. i really have no idea and even less money to go about trying to fix it, any healp would be greatly appreciated from some 2nd gen guru's
