Cheap Fender Flair Material/Source FOUND
I hope that I'm not stepping on any toes but prior to reading about another person on this site, I found a supplier for some rubber fender flair material.
The sample that I have is not with me at the moment but come Monday (If there's any interest) I will post a couple of pics of the material
I would like to do some sort of a group buy on this stuff since the minimum order quantity is a 100' roll, But I'm sure that I can order as much as needed.
The cost would end up being $5.25 per foot but this is before shipping the full roll to me or the cost of shipping the material out to all of you.
I think that if I could get an extra $25 this would cover the shipping out and the time for me to cut/pack and the material this would even out the cost of shipping.
I just went out an figured that my 1990 Runner would use about 16' so that would be $84 bucks plus another $25 for my effort it would come up to $109 Bucks.
Looks to me like the lead time to get the material to me is about 3-4weeks plus another week or so depending on the numbers for me to get the material out to you.
Since I have sold some cycle parts on e-bay I do have a pay-pal account set up so that part would be easy, Here is my username if you would like to check out my feed back. = mgstrang
1) Who would like to do it?
2) Since I would rather not dish out 5 bills for the material I would need payment prior to shipping/ordering for the material.

Ugly, Cause some trucks are not about the bling. If I cared about looks I would have bought a Lexus.

Really sorry I didn't bring the sample home with me, If you look at the stuff from here- http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...p-1256/c-10101
Its actually a combination of the Surface Mount and the Fender lip mount.
I would also say that its maybe a total of 3" high and sticks out only 2" so its not as big as the stuff you will find on LARGE trucks.

Took some pics but they wont turn out with the black rubber on black truck,
Would a pic of the item on a white piece of paper work? Pretty sure that we all know how it will turn out on a vehicle,
Just thought of something, My wife has a white van, if I put it up against the van It should give you a better idea.
The reason that I put down the JCW link is to show the profile, Nothing to hide here, its just another product which I think is better than the JCW stuff.
Gotta run back to work,
I will post some pics later tonight.

[IMG][/IMG] Here are some pics,
Let me know if there is any interest, Not sure if you can tell from the pics is that I'm not in any hurry to get some for myself as my truck will need to be painted before I will put some one.

That actually kind of decent. I used the Fexfit extenda flare which looks ugly as hell. It was only about $75 to do the whole truck. I put it on for saftey check, then take it off. That flare I might add a little fiber glass to, and leave it on

From what I see you have to screw in a horizontal direction throught the fender, the ones at JCW screw vertical in the lip. I would me more concerned about rusting over time with that setup, but I live in NH, so we get alot of salt on the roads...

My understanding is that you would rivit it horizontal into the face of your fender, Some might have an issue with that but
I'm in Minnesota and figure that by the time the rust gets to the holes made by the rivits I'm going to have other issues. But thats just me.
