Brush Guard w/ body lift.

Well I was just about to hop in the shower this afternoon and someone comes knocking on my door wanting to know if I wanted a chrome brush guard for my truck for 50$. I told him sure bring it down and let me look at it. Made sure it would fit or would fit with some bracketry and gave him the money for it.

So to get to my problem, everything fits well but the bottom where it looks like its supposed to bolt to the frame. Since I did a 3" body lift its 3 inches off. Has anyone had this problem? And if so what did you do to get it to fit?

i hear ya. i have on my waag brush guard with a 1.5 inch body lift. i took my truck to a local welding shop, and they put on some new front brackets on the front end of the frame. now the brush guard fits perfect on there. my website has some pics of the guard, if you want i'll snap a couple shots of where it connects in the bottom.

If you don't care man that would be great. I'm going to be going to a machine shop that one of my dad's friends owns sometime next week to have my shifters welded and the blocks welded into the bed that was supplied with my body lift so I'll see if he can fab me up something.

Yeah I have those tires on there at the moment, I haven't gotten to upload any pictures yet because I left my camera cable down in florida and haven't gotten around to buying a smartcard reader yet.

I haven't had a chance to really take them off road besides my muddy backyard and they did pretty good back there. They don't clean themselves like a more agressive tread does, but they also aren't loud like an agressive tire is. All in all I like them.

check it out here

it's a little hard to make heads or tails in the pictures, but you can use the aluminum skid plate as reference. the end plates of the frame are also a little darker/blacker as they're new and newly welded. but now the holes at the top of it of it are 1.5 inches higher to accomodate the body lift and brush guard fits fine.
