Not the smartest bunch...
Some of the greenhouses on the UCSD campus got trashed by ELF not too long ago. It was in protest of the genetic engineering in crops. They destroyed all the plants and spraypainted messages on the walls.
Had they done their research they would have known that the plants that were there were NOT genetically altered and were part of a project to develop, through cross-breeding, sturdier crops for regions that really need them (Africa, for example).
Misguided rich kids that want to revolt against mummy and daddy, that's what I think.

Peter has his facts right. Better that ELF anyway. If you do catch them, might I recommend some green paint?

There was an article in the Seattle Times in the last couple of weeks. This is a NOT TRUE story. The BLM folks found something, but it was not as described, and there is no evidence that pipe bombs were involved.
