Anyone heard of this Brush Guard

I saw these selling on Ebay. They are dirt cheap and they are no namers.

its just a piece of bent metal pipe....sounds like a good deal to me. I have some chipping/rusting from offroading. They look bad when they rust...

Just remember that you get what you pay for. It would not surprise me if that thing rusted out in a year.

How much would it cost to re-powder coat it?

I can say this because i own one...but Brushguards do not look all that good. And when i look around, EVERYONE has them on. In my opinion, a bull bar(without the headlight grill) is much better looking than a full guard especially on a 4th gen.

Powder coating can only be done on bare metal, so the cost would be a lot, it would have to be sand blasted first.

That's not the actual shipping cost. That's just how much they charge so they can make more money off it.

I agree with ya, I like the bull bars better too. The brush guard I like is one that I'll probably never be able to obtain and that is this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=2475242628

I think its like 88$ USD, I would have already bid on it but the guy said this in his shipping information:
Will arrange for local pickup only (no postage).
Seller's payment instructions & return policy:
Payment to be made in full before or at time of collection, I will not organise shipping on this item due to the size of it but will assist who ever collects it, Happy biding

generally, if you email the seller, and ask, sometimes they WILL ship it, they prefer pick up. It wouldn't hurt to ask them.

From what he has said on his auction, he seems pretty adament on not doing a thing with it shipping wise.

I can almost guarantee you that it's not powdercoated.
Just a lot of vinyl based paint or something like that. As far as rusting goes - I think they're all the same. If you're not careful with even the more expensive WAAG or Smittys... they're all gonna rust.

Thing you have to ask yourself - is it really what it looks like in the photo? The vehicle picture looks like it was ripped off from the http://www.waag.com site
