OK guys, I have had this slight rattling sound coming from the back half of my truck for some time now. At first I just thought it was just that, a rattle. But just in the last week it has periodically began to get much louder, when it is at it's worst it sounds like a tin can dangling under the truck banging agaist something in the wind. It can get pretty loud at times. I do notice that it really does not kick in until you give it some gas and then let off suddenly.
I have tried everything to find it, even removing my tool box from the bed, taking off the rear tailgate diamond plate cover, nothing....................................does anyone have any ideas what this annoyance could be ???? Could it be a baffle in the muffler, but it does not do it when the truck is just sitting in park , giving it gas.

sounds like something on the exhaust to me, possibly the cover on the cat

I would also check the entire exhaust for rubbing the frame or loose shields.
