Air Conditioning System Cleaning/Odor Removal
I've seen a sign at my local dealer that they can do an air conditioning system cleaning which removes odors (such as cigarette smoke smell) from the system. I can't remember how much it was and how they do it, but I'm sure it's not cheap. Does anyone have a creative way of doing this other than spending the money at the dealer? Thanks.

Ozium just seems to temporarily get rid of any smells.
I did say in another post about this stuff I saw on either the Spike or Speed channel. You can inject this foam and it fills your whole duct system up and kills off any bacteria living in there from the condensation left behind from the a/c. They had a clear mock up of an a/c unit and it showed how well it foamed up. Like that expanding foam insulation.

And then, in that very same thread (whodda thunk it?!) there was a link to a write-up that Bob_98SR5 had done on how to get to the filter/fan!

Well, before I pull the fan out, I decided to give it a thorough coat of Febreeze tonight and also put a good bit of Febreeze onto the intake vents underneath the wipers. I've put a couple of treatments on these vents over the last 20 minutes while the truck has been idling and the air blowing, and I can already tell a world of difference.
