99 4runner idle issue

1999 4runner 3.4 auto 120000 miles.
Was wrecked and sat for 2 1/2 years while being rebuilt.

The problem is, when you start it up it idles smooth @ about 800 rpm and as it warms up the idle goes up to about 1200 at normal operating temp.

It runs great and smooth but idles high after it warms up, any ideas?

Does the ECU think the AC is on?

I don't think so, the a/c lost its charge in the wreck. The idle goes up as the temp goes up, should be the other way around.

I would throw it in a scanner, if possible.

Other than that you are just guessing.

just my 2cents.
