1990 4Runner Rear Window Problems
I recently picked up a 1990 V6 SR5 Auto runner. When I purchased the car the switch for the rear window was missing.... upon replacing it with a new one I have found that the window will not roll down using the switch or the key. What are some common points of failure I should check.... thanks in advance!

Pop the panel on the inside and have a look at the mechanism (regulator) and the motor. These are prone to problems. Are you hearing anything back there when trying to use it?? Maybe it's unplugged since the switch was missing the seller was hiding some issues?? Could also be the relay, but I doubt it. New motor and regulator from the dealer is around $400. Hit a junkyard to save some $$. The driver side power window motor is the same as the rear tailgate window motor, FYI.
