Hi
I own a 1989 21ft dolphin motorhome. Have driven mine in 60mph winds lean is very interesting to say the least. Definely going to up grade suspension using polybushes and renewing airbags. Found a front airdam helps with reducing weaving in strong winds. Made mine out plastic sheet similar to lawn edging and braced by roofing battens.

Keep me updated Pete! I'm in the midwest for the winter but I plan on getting back out to Montana, or at least somewhere in the west, in the spring. I might be close to you.
My newest thoughts are just using this camper and putting as little money as possible into it, and either finding a smaller pop top Chinook to put on a much newer Tacoma, or finding something new to put my Chinook on. Even a T100 or first gen Tundra.
I love the classic truck and nothing will be as cool as the Chinook on the 70's Toyota...but at some point, driving all over the country, you want air bags and stuff like that. But we'll see. If I go that way, I can't really work on it anymore. I can do most stuff on a 78, but on a 2000? I'd be a little lost, mechanically.
But for the next few years, at least, I'll just be using this camper as-is, and hopefully be around the west quite a bit.
