15x10's on 31x10.5/R15?

Will 15 x 10 rims fit properly fit on a 31 x 10.5 R15 tire?

BFG recommends 7"-9" wide rim:

Might be a little stretched on a 10" rim plus you may have to shop around for a shop willing to mount them up for you.

Oh yeah, those are the exact tires I have. I thought there could be an issue. I guess I'll go ahead with 15 x 8's.

My vote goes for the 15x8's - more so for functionality, but I also think it will look better

10.50's will fit on a 10" wheel, but whoever puts the tires on will have to stretch the tire on. I have seen this done a few times, but if you wheel your rig you might have a problem with the tire coming off the bead. If I were to run a 10.50 I would get an 8" wheel.

i ran 31x10.50 on 15x10 wheels on my '88 toyota 4x4 truck for 10 years with no problems....just watch the curbs going through the drive thru window...lol...it's easy to scrape the rims....they stick out of the fender wells about 2 inches or so...i have a new 2009 tacoma now and i'm running 16x8 trd ivan stewart wheels with 265/70/16 bridgestone revo tires...looks really nice

Decided to go with these Dick Cepek DC-1 15x10 polished aluminum rims. I'll eventually upgrade to 31x12.5R15, or after I go 3.4, at least 32x11.5 with a minor bj spacer/ome coil lift.

I vote staying with stock width 15x7 for a 10.5" tire.

i was told the 'safe' min tire size for a 15x10 rim is 32 x 11.5. thats what i run right now and it looks great. as some others said you could probably do a 31x10.5 but it might not be the best for the tire (or rim). also different tire brands vary slightly in size so that might be something to consider also.
