SB Conversion Pics?

Just wondering if anybody has put a small block or anything comparable into one of these trucks? Was there fitment issues? Trans options? Need pics, and suggestions. I'm wanting to retire this 3.4, or heaven forbid "ditch the runner"? Thanks

I don't think I'd like to put a small block in something as nice as a 3rd gen. I'd MUCH rather put a 1uzfe or better. Yea, a 1uz or 2uz would be killer. Man, you got me thinking about my own rig

But, if you were dead set on a domestic V8, I'd go for an LT1 or 6.0 vortec, or an LS1 if you have the funds.

I recently saw a LS1 in a ugughk "clearing my throat" Jeep. That's why I was wondering if anyone on here has actually done it. I've heard a few mention it. I've seen the Lexus conversion, which I like, however coming across those motors is nearly impossible unless you looking for something which will require a complete tear down and rebuild prior to install. The LS1 is not that hard to find, and I have seen them for sale ,complete and with low mileage. Just curious if anybody had done it. I wanted to see if and how it fit. I really would like to tow my boat with this, and frankly it's not really intended for doing so with this motor. I won't do the SC either, I've been around here for a while and have seen years of people selling and buying runners that people installed a SC on and having nothing but issues. I did check into it, and realizing that if your going to do it, do it right! When you that involved cash wise, why not step up? So I guess I'll be looking for something else to do the job with.
