Removing bug residue
I guess I didn't get to washing the 4Runner fast enough after a long summer trip and now there are bug remains left even after I gave my baby a nice bath. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove these unsightly remnants? Can they be buffed out? Is there a special product out that will remove them?
Please help.

Let some bug and tar remover sit on it for awhile, while you're washing it w/ a nice soapy solution, take some ladyfriend's (or yours, no judgment here!) old pantyhose, and w/ your hand inside, lightly rub the bugs off w/ your finger tips.

First I wash the area to get most of the dirt off then I take a 100% cotton terry cloth rag and wet it in the same wash water. Just go over the bug guts with the rag and they will come right off. Make sure to clean the rag often and keep
it as wet and soapy possible. It can take some time but it works great and I have never scratched the finish doing it this way.
