1994 pickup 5 inch sas build with pics
Hey all, i posted up this thread earlier but my computer was breaking and i couldnt finish uploading all the information and pics. So here it goes!
First off i was introduced to these toyota trucks when i moved to a town in Washington state. At my high school i saw all these nice little lifted trucks everywhere and was wondering what the heck they were! The first toyota truck that motivated me was a guy who had an IFS lifted truck. It had a 5-6 inch suspension and 1.5 bj spacer with a 3 inch body lift on it. I really got interested in these trucks shortly after...... A few months later i got into a dirtbike crash and went into a coma. Months later i got out of the hospital and purchased my first toyota pickup 4wd. It was an 89 22re automatic ext cab 4x4 with a 4" suspension lift on 33s. I drive that truck quite a bit and loved every minute of it.......Until i let one of my buddies drive it and the head gasket blew up. I got that fixed and sold her shortly after because i was moving to arizona. As soon as i moved to arizona i got a 95.5 tacoma with the 3rz automatic. I drove her for a few months but quickly got bored and tired of the automatic. So i bought a 94 pickup with the 3vze 5-speed with 184,000 on her. She had a 5" suspension lift and came with a set of 33s and 30s. I sold the 33s and a whole bunch of other things i had laying around so that i could start what i had wanted to do for over a year....The SAS!
So hopefully you guys like this thread and hopefully my pics will upload.

Thanks! Right now she has welded 4.10s up front, and open rear. But i plan on putting some 4.88s F/R though. I may lock the diffs someday but not sure. Shes on craigslist right now actually, just seeing how much i can get for her

Good thing you checked out this thread I definently didn't do this build 100% correct but it was a good learning experience.. I don't have pics of the drive shaft too sadly. Thanks for the compliments too man

A word of advice...
RELOCATE THE AIR BOX for the air intake or get a snorkel! I noticed you play in the mud - I did too with my 93 xtra cab until I hit about a foot of water and waked water into the air intake (located stock behind the driver's side headlight)...that was the love of my life and now it's at the scrap yard
