69 fj40 "JAGERBOMB" build
Ever since I was tiny, I have always wanted a fj40 landcruiser. I turned 17. And had 2800 dollors to my name.I finally found a 1969 fj40! In my home town! I live in California so it being pre smog was a huge plus to me. I rode my bike over to this guys house and just fell in love with. I called up my pops and said I need you, the truck, and the flat bed at this address right now! Haha he showed up and there it began. I finally got my dream rig!

I couldnt stand the color, so I gutted out the interior and rhino lined it, and then painted the entire rig
Painted it tan and added the dodge neon seats!
Took her out for a joy ride

It didnt end up so well. Bent the steering arm. Man was that a scary, slow drive home!

The shop it is at is called H&H Fabrication in crescent city California. Two really cool brothers who know how to build stuff! The front axle is a king pin dana 60. rear is a dana 60.
finally found some tires! 39.5 iroks
had to lean the tires up to see the stance... lol
ditched the old hanger and winched and built a new one.

rear axle is in! the springs i used in the rear are out of a stock 3rd gen toyota pickup. i used these because the center pin is way offset so they would stretch the rear end and also keep it low
first flex test! really surprised!
start of the rear tube bumper

putting in the drive train. it is a sm420 transmission adapted to a stock toyota t case. the sm420s first gear is 7:1, very low geared. the axles got 4:88s. so my over all ratio will be about 80:1

tube fenders
decided to boat-side it, so all the front tubing, boat sides, and rear tubing is alll welded together.
the shackle on the front suspension. it sat to high for my liking so we frenched in the shackle to gain just a couple more inches
bump stops... hate them but had to have it on this side
all the tubing welded up and painted
