It was a good trip, my crew and I had a really good time with the trail and the drive up north. It was really good to meet YT'ers in real life and I will really like to go on the next trip. It was strange having to drive so far away just to meet people from down the street from where I live.
I will let you all know when i get the info. on when the pics and vid. are up to be watched.

we had a blast. trail was pretty fun but a tad dusty from dry conditions, but man the views of that terrain from the tops of some of those uphill sections were pretty sweet - next time we should try that trail in reverse as well. it WAS really strange that you guys live so close. we've gotta plan more trips and hit up some of the stuff up 80 or 50. i didn't have any issues this weekend, but i really need to pick out some tires since the truck isn't a DD anymore and my hwy rpms were a bit higher than i would have liked.
junkers, i couldn't believe you made it up a lot of that stuff in 2lo. hopefully your dude comes through sometime soon to set up those gears in the front.

well the weekend did have one casuallty.... after all the climbing, jaring, thrashin i did. on the last hill on paved hwy, i lost my power steering. after inspection at home i found i had lost a belt and the culprit was the power steering carrier pulley that basically makes the belt clear other pulleys.. cheep fix.
All the rigs performed very well. some had to be pushed a little harder than others but we all made it with out a winch or rope. lots of rocks and small ledges, and a lot of 45 degree climbing. the perfect trail for a semi stock rig as well as a moderately built one. great for beginners and and fun for seasoned enthusiasts.

Dark Fairytales rig did an amazing job of handling this trip even with 4 people and tons of gear this rig took a beatin and kept coming. this area all stands on end with lots of lava cap to climb as well. this rig took it like a champ.

unfortunately I was unable to get any images of highonpottery he was the rig right behind me and he was on my bumper!!! lol Brian and his wife (who I will not even attempt to spell her name) are super nice people. i look forward to wheeling with them in the future. here are a cpl of more images of junk space and girl face as well as myself. Troy and Heather were the extremist having been up for 24 hrs prior. Troy could not keep his 4wd engaged all the time so he had to lock and unlock 8 times. I know the next trip will be in the sac area and I can't wait to see these YTer's again.
and here is me washing the underbelly of the runner hahaha

i ended up developing a leak in the cover of my front diff that i didn't see in camp or when airing back up yesterday. i musta not cleaned the surface well enough or not enough RTV right there since i used a bead less than 1/8" wide. saw a puddle this morning and i figure it musta been there sometime yesterday because my rear axle has oil speckles on it from the hwy. not too bad of a leak 'cuz there was still around 1.5 quarts inside, but still gonna be a pain to redo the RTV - gonna try and do it without taking the diff out again.
gonna be gettin' myself a CB ASAP! no more of that nonsense. i'd never been wheeling with more than 2-3 rigs before and handheld walkies have always done the trick. i have since been enlightened in how useful they can be. we need to post up a report thread with some of the pics and vids.
