signal light drawing waaay to much juice

so when i turn my right signal on, my battery gauge drops down to about midway on the guage, then goes back up and down, corrosponding with the signal flashes. the dash dims, the lights dim, and the signal (front and back) barely lights up.

buut, it only does it on one side, my driver side signals work fine.

now i know it could be a thousand things, but i'm no electrition, is there anybody that could possibly tell me where to start, or what to look for?

thanks guys (and gals)

Might start by checking the main cab ground point, usually a bunch of brown wires screwed to the floor in the driver's side kick panel area. Don' just look at the wires, remove and clean the terminals (wire brush, etc.) and put it back together. You could also put a volt meter across some points in the dash to see if the voltage drop is on the power or ground side.

Also, try swapping the bulbs between sides in back and see if there is any change.

so i left it over night and when i jumped back in the next day it was working fine again. maybe it does have something to do with a bad ground, maybe i hit a speed bump the right way or something lol

So, it came back agian, for about five minutes, then, i had no power to my dash at all.

The charge light was on, but the truck started fine, lights, stereo, windows etc. all have power, but my signal lights, and the whole dash do not work.

I'm gonna check some fuses and some relays, and hopefully something turns up.
