85 fuel & ebrake light stuck on**PICS**

Didn't know there was a fuel light on the '85s, mine does not have one. But if e-brake and charge light, see below:

Well, I decided to flush the cooling system and change the coolant. While I was doing this I tried to start the truck and no joy. I pulled the alt. and it smelled burnt. I installed a new one and the lights on the dash went out and the truck started right up. No problems since.
