SR5 with half doors?
i was wondering if anyone out there put half doors or tube doors on a sr5 truck or 4Runner. i want something like that when i take to roof off but i have power windows, locks and mirrors so i wanted to know what everyone did with the wiring.

Probably will be easiest to make a quick disconnect BEFORE the wiring goes though the body back into the truck. Radioshack or simmilar places sell multiple pin male/female plugs.
To make hanging the door easier, I cut a slot to open up the mounting hole on the top of the 2 hinges on the truck. That way I can loosely put the top 2 bolts in the door, then slide the door onto the bolts, put the bottom 2 bolts in, and tighten things up. Actually right now, its only being held on by the top 2 bolts.
Here's a crummy pic of it mounted

i've ran my big runner doorless a couple times...
there are 3 plugs on the driver side and 2 plugs on the passenger side behind the kick panels that need to get disconnected before removing the door. it take a while to find them and pull them the first time but i can do it now pretty quickly. once you pull the plugs the rear windows wont roll down, (it thinks the window lock out button is on) but the key still rolls down the back window. ( not an issue wiht a 1st gen, but can be for passengers in 2nd gen runners.) i just unbot the 4 bolts holding the doors on and it comes right off. takes me about 20 minutes to remove both doors.

I did mine similar to this, only I opened the bottom two holes so I can rest the weight of the doors on them. Then with a 12mm ratchet wrench it only tales a couple of minutes to swap from doors to tube doors.
Here is a picture of my 4Runner with my unfinished tube doors.
