Quick Mount(s) Question

Just a quick question to verify things I might be planning. Do the earlier trucks ( 1986-1988 ) and 4Runners ( 1986-1989 ) have the same bumper, and seat mounts as the next generation trucks ( 1989-1995 ) and 4Runners ( 1990 - 1995 )?

In a broad answer to a broad question, no.

:/ that's kinda disappointing but oh well. I'm contemplating on selling my 4Runner for an 86-95 toyota 4x4 ext cab 22re. but I dont want to part with my TJM bumper. I know it'll fit 89-95 pick ups, but figured i'd ask about the 86-88s.

Yeah but I'd rather not cut it up. If it comes to it. I'd rather sell the bumper and buy a F&R Tubular bumper for the truck.

don't think you would need to cut up the bumper, i think it would involve modifying the mounting brackets...I have seen 2nd Gen ARB's bumpers mounted on 1st Gen trucks that look pretty good...

Your original post should have mentioned the TJM bumper

So you think I could fit a TJM on an 86-88 pick up without much hassle?

Probably going to have to drill new holes in the mounting plate for your bolts lol
