need help with fuel pressure regulator.

Hey all, I have searched and cannot seem to find where the bottom nipple hooks up to on the fuel pressure regulator, Its a 86 22re 4x4 runner.
I saw pictures from 4crawler where the vacum line on the front is hooked directly to the intake plenum and thats how mine is now. but the bottom nipple is not being used/ or hooked up right now.
thanks

wade

Should be the low pressure return line to the tank. Excess fuel is returned to the tank by the regulator to maintain the pressure in the fuel rail.

Charcoal cannister handles the gas tank vent line:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTri...ne_Pix/19.html

There is a rubber hose from the bottom of the FPR that runs inside a larger hose (I guess to protect it) from under the intake manifold back to the top of the gas tank.

I'm reassembling my engine. The only thing left for me to do is figure out where this bottom hose goes on the fuel regulator.

I looked under the intake and fuel rail for a spare nipple to connect the hose, but couldnt find one.

I have an 89 pickup with the 22re. Does anyone know there both the top and bottom hoses go coming from the fuel regulator? (i THINK i know there the top hose goes, but i'm not 100% positive.)

Bottom hose is fuel return line, top hose is manifold vacuum.

Ok. I got the vacuum line part right, but where does the return line go? I have no other open valve nipples to attach it to.

There should be a hose that eventually runs back to the gas tank that connects to the return fitting on the FPR.

I found it. The tube was tucked away so it looked like it connected to that charcoal filter. I had to follow one of the two lines coming from the gas tank.
