K-5Runner

Ok guys, I have a question. I just put a 4runner body on a k-5 frame. So is it a blazer or a 4runner? Or how i like to call it a K-5Runner

I've heard of people trying to make blazers look like offroaders. Never heard of one trying to look reliable....

^hahahaha - that's a good one!

i could kinda understand what the OP was thinking with this one, because when I went out and bought my old '83 K5 diesel years ago, I regretted it afterward and wondered why the heck I bought this POS instead of a 1st gen 4runner - looks like he found a solution...kinda...not really........eww.

Olds diesel, sorry but you had it coming, no sympathy from me! As for the gasser job, it's a SBC, which is still being built today in iterations for a good reason.

Seriously though, what's with all the K5 hate here? Open topped wheeling well before, about 10 years before, the Trekker even. I think the only one that has it beat for that is the Jeep. SBC, Turbo350/400 trans I'd imagine, and solid axles, sounds like a pretty good recipe to me. Sorry but I love these things, especially when they're mint and stock like this one:

so what year of 4runner did u drop on the k5 frame and what year is the k5 frame. also what size engine are u running. I think u could call your rig a chevota. since it is toyota and chevy. ive seen people drop chevy eng. in yotas but not yota body on a chevy frame. sounds bad ass i have a78 k5, body is destroyed but still runs. was it very hard to do this?
