does this sound like a bad fuel pump?

ok so ive been trying to get my sisters 99 nissan pathfinder going its got the 3.3L auto 2wd so far ive replaced a bad cap and rotor all plug wires and fuel filter that got it running some what....... the idle is choppy it sputters and falls on its face it will only rev up to around 3k and thats it no power nothing she runs this truck on few alot im thinking the fuel pump is on its last leg ?

Sounds more to me like a sensor issue. A fuel pump usually wont cause that issue as it will still pump quite well and then just stop one day without warning. Course I could be wrong too..

That's been my experience as well. I'm certainly not a Nissan expert, but I bet they are like most other cars. Either it is pumping fuel or not. Others may chime in with different experiences, but that is what I've seen.

o2 sensor/sensors?

could have crap in the tank sloshing around pluging and un pluging or limiting flow as well.... just some thoughts.

friend of mine gonna drop the tank clean it and check the pump

ok did that still runs like crap seems to run ok when its cold then when it warms up it goes down hill

replaced the pump now it wont even start i use to like nissan's i now hate them

TPS sensor? or you put a plug wire on wrong or it needs to be timed.
