'92 xtra cab. mostly stock. 31x10.5 I average 15-16. about half my miles are freeway driving(usually about 75.) I could probably do better if I tried to save gas while driving, but the skinny pedal is too much fun.

22 MPG's in a 97 4runner 3.4, 5Spd--it was stock at the time--was driving through New Mexico or west Texas towing a little Harbor Freight Trailer with Plywood sides (remember when Plywood was cheap?)
And 22 in my current Runner when it was stock--99, 3.4, 5Spd.
Now i get 16-17 city and maybe 17-18 highway with 35's, 4.88's, Skids, Sliders, TJM-T15.......

Aww Norman you can post polls?? Damn I am jealous now. Haha. Yeah, the best I got was on my way home from a place called Frasier Park. It is pretty much all downhill, with a tailwind. Granted, its only like 20 miles, I got 18 mpg for that half tank of gas, meaning on just that trip I had to get over 25, but I still only selected 18 on the poll...
Seems like the newer 4runners get better gas MPG. I am guessing that's because the 3.4 is lighter than the 3.0, and probably because its newer too. I wonder what my gains will be when I do swap engines... Still I have to tug around my heavy metal body unlike 3rd gens.

I've touched 22mpg on the highway once, but am regularly in the 21 range with highway driving.
