22RE Idle issue when RPM's drop
86 22re 4runner all stock
--runs well but will not idle unless I feather it down in RPMs.
--Will cold start and idle but with low RPMs.
--Trouble firing sometimes but will eventually fire
--RPM's pulsate 300-900 sometimes after feathering to an idle
--Check engine light came on for 20 secs on 2 diff occasions while descending big cottonwood canyon in Salt Lake City.
Tried: cleaning throttle body & cold start injector
Some efi issue? Drove from Maine to Salt Lake City and started to happen on the drive out. Ran great all summer in Maine. Just replaced the alternator. Fresh engine rebuild no oil leaks/ burns, good power at sea level but noticeable difference out here.
